Non-productive weekend..

Yay for my non-productive weekend. All I did was work. No homework no housework. I feel useless!! Good thing for Veterans day.. I'll be able to get a lot done since I am free all day! The bathroom is so close to being done I can't wait. Just a few more things and a trip to target for a bath mat and some storage baskets and - finis! My biggest problem with it now is the fact that there is no fan - - what do you do with all that shower steam!?! Hoorah for old houses...
In a decorating blah I need some new inspiration for the living room and dining room, oh and some free time. I am ready for the holidays and ready for some Christmas decor along the mantel too! Maybe that is the KICK we need to brighten up our space?? Who knows, I will just keep lurking on the target.com site and scoping out good deals on stockings, stocking hangers, and Christmas trees...

Off to bed - long day tomorrow!!

Engagement photos are back!! Woo hoo... most are pretty good and its nice to finally have some real pictures of us. I don't know what to do with them though! I want to get a few to hang in the house and maybe some for Christmas presents but I am not sure if we are doing save-the-dates or not. Maybe via the internet? Who knows! The only thing I am sure of is this: I need to lose weight! I looked like a blimp in the engagement pictures and I only have 230 days ish left to shed some pounds! Now I just need some motivation...

I've cooked a lot this week. It is sooo good on a cold day to have something homemade to eat, also good because I have been eating better meals. Still have the dessert though, and no exercise :( Baby steps! The crock pot is my new best friend. I've always eaten crock pot meals (thanks mom!) but now I am the one making them! So easy and tasty I just want to use it everyday!

Halloween is tomorrow! I can't wait to hand out the candy to the kids. I hope there is a lot of them because I don't want that candy left over... Then the Bite Me Ball after the kids are home.. which I am dreading. I don't know why, but I just do NOT want to get all gussied up and stress out. I'd rather drink and chill and watch scary movies. Oh well, guess I'll give it a shot!

Motivation? Where are you!

I haven't been to jazzercise since before we moved to the new house! Thats months. I really want to go back - I have some time today, but I am scared to death! I don't know if I can do it or not! I am not sure I have the time, but I am definitely nervous because I don't remember anything!! AGH! The next class is at noon today - - who knows... Will I make it?

Holy Wedding Planning...

I don't know how much more I can take!!! I am starting to realize all of the things I haven't even thought about and am freaking out. I wish I had a list with absolutely everything we had to do and I could check things off, but everytime I cross something off I think of something new!

I am hoping to secure the photographer, cake, and first dance song this week and then I am passing off the honeymoon info to John. I think he would have fun planning it - plus I can't add any more to my plate!! He'll plan something nice, romantic, and fun so I know I can trust him (as long as I give him a budget ;])

September Heat

So our AC is off due to the HUGE electricity bill we just got and of course it came during the hottest week to date this summer!! We were roasting the last two nights but tonight is sooo much cooler, thank goodness! I worked all night last night but Johnny had to sleep in the basement because it was so hot upstairs. I keep filling the animals bowls with cool water so they don't melt!

Saving money never felt so good... right?

The basement has been re arranged and there is now a sitting area that is actually usable! hooray! Our dilemma now is where to put the tv and if it stays upstairs what do we do in the basement so that we actually use the space!? At least the paint looks good :) I guess we'll figure it out as we go!

One project done..

I am soooo excited to say that, finally, the basement is done!! We've been painting (or looking at the mess and thinking we should paint) for about 2+ months. Procrastinators. It is finally painted - I just need to clean up the mess. We finshed at midnight last night to I wanted to let it dry, but I think today I am going to re-arrange the old furniture and see if I can make it homey.

We have not once used the basement except for laundry and to shower/do bathroom stuff. In case you didn't know - our bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms is *still* under renovation, which is why we have to use the downstairs one.

I have only had to clean up a few ants or baby itty bitty spiders in this new house so I was pretty excited and then last night - holy smokes. The BIGGEST spider ever. Freaked me out. Good thing Johnny Boy was there - Ack!
